Dr. Jean Kaseya Assumes Director General Role at Africa CDC, Paving the Way for Strengthened Health Systems in Africa
The Assembly of the African Union has recently announced the appointment of Dr. Jean Kaseya from the Democratic Republic of Congo as the Director General of the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC). Dr. Kaseya's tenure spans a four-year mandate wherein he will oversee and guide the organization towards achieving its core functions and key objectives, as laid out in its statute.
