Held under the theme “Harmonizing Standards, Elevating Practice: A Unified Approach to Nursing and Midwifery Excellence in Africa,” the conference will focus on building strong, coordinated systems to enhance healthcare delivery and professional practice on the continent.

These themes reflect Africa’s evolving health needs and the growing role of nurses and midwives in achieving universal health coverage and improved health outcomes.

As part of the scientific programme, the organizer’s earlier opened a call for abstracts for oral and poster presentations, symposiums, panel discussions and workshop proposals.

Participants were encouraged to submit research findings, innovative practices and policy-oriented ideas that can contribute to shaping the future of nursing and midwifery in Africa.

Organisers of ANMC say the conference will serve as a collaborative platform for knowledge exchange, professional development and policy dialogue, while promoting a unified approach to standards and practice across national borders.

“The ANMC Conference Livingstone 2026 is designed to drive collective progress by bringing together voices from practice, academia, leadership and policy to advance nursing and midwifery excellence across Africa,” the confederation said.
