The prestigious MSD Health and Medical Award have been awarded to Veronica Narkwor Kwabla former anchor and reporter of TV3 Network.
The versatile anchor now with Africanews picked up her award at the the CNN MultiChoice African Journalist of the Years Awards last Saturday.
Veronica during the heat of the 2014 Ebola epidermic traveled to Liberia and Sierra Leone, to tell the story of Ghana’s forty two volunteers, as well as the epidemic in general.
The team who were dispatched to the Ebola affected countries on April 15 and was made up of doctors, nurses and paramedical personnel, spent four months on the line of duty. They received national honors for their dedication upon return.
Dr Victor Bampoe, deputy minister of health and incident commander in a facebook post expressed gratitude to the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) of the Ministry of Health for making this happen.
