The reign of Dr Gilbert Buckle as the Ceo of the Korle By Teaching Hospital has ended effective February 1, 2017.
The public health physician, who was appointed in July 2014 has since handed over to the director of medical affairs of the hospital, Dr Samuel Asiamah who will be acting in the position of the Ceo with effect from February 2, 2017 per the instructions of the director of the ministry of health.
While many described his tenure as having “done little”, Dr Buckle believes his efforts “like a seed that is planted, will take time to germinate and even longer to grow to maturity”, an open letter by the former Ceo stated.
Dr. Gilbert Buckle has close to two decades of experience working in the public and private health sectors in Ghana, with more than 12 years in senior management and leadership roles.
