Barely a week after the miraculous recovery of Muamba Fabrice of Bolton wanderers, suffering a cardiac arrest that saw him in state of a heart stop action for over an hour, and recovering remarkably as least expected, Eric Abidal of Barcelona is set to undergo a liver transplant come Monday.
Eric Abidal 32, who had a tumor removal surgery a year ago after being diagnosed of cancer had no option than to heed to a medical advice to resort to a transplant. It is confirmed that a childhood friend is to act as the donor to save the waiting periods. The surgery is scheduled to take place in Barcelona earlier this week.
Already he has received a lot of well wishes from team mates, family, friends and fans across the world.
But for Fabrice the world still celebrate his miraculous “return” although still under an intensive care. His fiancée Shauna Magunda, Marcel the father as well as the football club have sent their appreciations to all and sundry who sent messages and said prayers to wish Muamba well.
